It is the oldest market in Palma, located in the heart of Santa Catalina in a building from the early twentieth century, in the neighborhood of the Palmense cultural movement, of the restaurants and fashion and design shops.

The market with its 50 stops offers all kinds of specialties: fish, seafood, meats, sausages, cheeses, fruits, seasonal vegetables. On Saturday, before lunch is the time to eat an appetizer. The market is full of people waiting for tapas and cold beer.

Mercat de l’Olivar: high quality

The Mercat de l’Olivar is frequented mainly by the residents of Palma who go every day to buy local products, such as meat, fruit and vegetables. It is located in the center of Palma, right in the square of the same name and was opened in 1951. It has additional services such as hairdressing and restaurants that offer the interesting formula of cooking meat and fish recently bought in the market, with drinks and side dishes.

San Juan Gastronomic Market: if you want to combine tapas and movies.

The Mercat San Juan is located in the S’Escorxador cultural space. It is a different market concept, you can only go to consume. In front of the market there is also a movie theater with a wide selection of screenings and shows, including foreign ones.
