The island enjoys a landscape of irregular terrain and ample vegetation where you can move around safely. The paths are marked well, and maps indicate the level of difficulty, gradient and duration of the walk.
Less experienced will enjoy the walk from Betlem, on a flat path to Es Caló, a cave located at the eastern point of Alcudia Bay, where there is a small pier in ruins.
Another interesting excursion is at Cúber reservoir and Gorg Blau, artificial reservoirs that collect water to supply the island. It offers spectacular views.
Avenc de Son Pou is an impressive natural cavity of about 150 x 70 meters. It is a fine example of a walk that is slightly more difficult and has a steeper slope. We recommend you bring a flashlight to explore the hidden corners of the caves with stalactites and stalagmites.
Alaró Castle is a classic walk. You can go directly from Alaró, leaving the car in the small town, however, the route to the top is fairly long. Another option is to park halfway. In this case, the round trip will take no more than 2 hours and a half.

It consists of different Lookouts between the sea and mountains commissioned by the archbishop Luis Salvador of Austria to observe the landscape. The Lookouts point out to sea, and the connecting paths go between oaks, pines and olive trees. The duration of the walk is quite long. It takes about 8 hours to complete the circular route. but I can assure you it’s well worth it!
